Genentech Area 3 Building 51 is a two-story, 40,000 sf pharmaceutical fill-line facility. Modular construction with field applied metal panel skin system. Site improvements consist of extensive landscaping, loading dock and utility yard.

DES worked closely with both Genentech and the module manufacture, Pharmadule to design the 56 module prefabricated facility.  DES services continued for 18 months from initial design through construction. During that time we worked with the manufacturer to address issues with code officials, structural design standards, construction inspection at a remote manufacturing location and other design solutions. Coordination involved 14 to 18 team members at every meeting representing the owner, module manufacturer and design team.
