SAN JOSE, California—July 10, 2013—The Silicon Valley Business Journal (SVJB), a reputable business paper, listed DES as one of the top architecture firms in the Valley by ranking it as the as the fourth largest architecture firm. This maintains the firm’s position in the top five firms, which is where it placed in 2012 as well.

DES’s recognition on this list is a testament to the firm’s prominence in architecture and engineering services in the Bay Area. Notably, DES employs more architects in Silicon Valley than any other firm on the list.

“We’re proud to be recognized as one of the top firms in Silicon Valley,” said Tom Gilman, DES’ President. “Our integrated approach with seven departments all in one office is key to our continued success.”

The rankings, announced last week, are based on revenue from work in Silicon Valley during the most recent fiscal year. The information is published in the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Book of Lists — an influential yearly publication covering the most important companies.

DES and its projects have repeatedly been recognized by the paper in recent years, which includes being given an award for the Best Speculative Deal in 2012. Also, Moffett Towers Building D was ranked as the sixth largest construction project based on square feet by the paper last year.
