Sometimes one building can empower a community, which is why DES is proud to have played a part in bringing a new health center to the City of Petaluma. The goal of this federally funded project was to provide integrated delivery of healthcare services to an expanding patient population. DES provided full tenant-improvement design services. We optimized the floor plan to maximize way-finding by reducing patient travel between departments and simplifying access to complementary services. Today, the project is flourishing, with 25% more patients served, shorter wait times, and a modern upbeat feel that promotes health and healing. It’s more than a medical office — it’s the heart of the community.
