181 Fremont Public Lobbies

San Francisco, CA

Designed for public use, 181 Fremont’s main lobby and transbay park lobby welcome visitors and users with captivating artwork, comfortable spaces, and retail services. A suspended poem installation is positioned upfront along the street entrance. This poem invites people in with its  shimmering glass curtains and gentle movement. Drawing visitors deeper into the space, Duna—a solid marble sculpture—floats lightly on a plinth with a strong, yet quiet presence. The 7th floor transbay park lobby provides a cozy library experience with natural materials found in the adjacent urban park. In this comfortable setting, a collection of seating areas provide casual spaces to lounge in the midst of an illuminating canvas painting and the vibrant park.
